Audio-Visual Information

Botany 2004 will provide the opportunity for presenters to deliver computer-based presentations as a standard presentation option. The Pentium III computers that will be provided within the Snowbird Center use Windows 2000 and Office 2000 suite including PowerPoint.

The PowerPoint application will handle older versions as well as Mac-Intosh saved as a 2000 or earlier version file. Be sure and double check your presentation for accuracy as PowerPoint sometimes does not always cross over between Windows and Macintosh based computers. For computer presentations, files should be accepted on CD ROMs. A centralized network will also be available.For specific technical questions regarding your presentation, please email your question to An answer will be provided as soon as possible.

Poster Information for Presenters

Posters and Poster Session

Posters will be on display for the duration of the meeting in the Event Tent from 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday thru Wednesday. Regular submission posters will fit onto bulletin Boards that are 4’ tall and 8’ wide. Recent topics posters will fit onto bulletin boards that are 4’ tall and 4’ wide. Materials may be secured with push pins, which will be provided.

Poster set-up time is Monday, August 2, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. Poster take-down time is Wednesday, August 4, from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. Poster Session for all societies will occur at the same time on Tuesday, August 3rd from 12:30 pm to 2:00 pm.

Neither the Snowbird management, nor Botany 2004 management, are responsible for any poster materials remaining after 5:00 pm on Wednesday, August 4.

Contributed Papers and Symposium Sessions

All Contributed Paper and Symposium sessions will be held in Cliff Lodge meeting roooms, and audio amplification equipment will be provided in all rooms as needed. LCD projectors and computer stations will be available as standard presentation options. Computers will support Windows 2000, MicroSoft Powerpoint presentations. 35mm slide projectorsand ovehead projectors will NOT be standard, but will be will be available as needed.
